The school has access to a wide variety of outdoor educational pursuits for students, such as hikes along the Illecillewaet Greenbelt or the Wetlands of the Columbia River. The Arrow Heights Elementary School community has worked successfully to sustain a positive school climate with a great deal of emphasis being placed on the Code of Conduct. Principal's Message
Welcome to Arrow Heights Elementary School Website. As Revelstoke’s smallest elementary school, we are home to approximately 210 students. Nestled in the Columbia River Valley, surrounded by the Selkirk and the Monashee Mountains. We would like to respectfully honour the four nations on whose land we live and learn: The Sinixt, the Secwepemc, the Ktunxa, and the Syilx Okanagan.
Arrow Heights Elementary is a great place to teach and learn. We place students at the center and lead with our belief that learning is holistic, reflexive, and experientIal. Central to our school culture are the First People’s Principles of Learning. Our dedicated staff strives to develop quality learning opportunities that will instill a sense of stewardship and connectedness to the environment, while focussing on reciprocal relationships with the land and each other.
At Arrow Heights, we foster an inclusive and welcoming learning environment, and our CARES program supports students in building empathy, and caring for the school community. Staff and students work together to promote values of giving back and helping one another and this can be seen daily at AHE.
We are all very excited about the 2023-24 school year. Whether you are a first-time visitor or are already a member of our community, I encourage you to explore our website to discover the programs and activities happening in our classrooms. If you need more information, or wish to pay us a visit, call (250) 837-6360. All families are welcome!
Sincerely,
Pam Mair
